LifePath Members: What Is Your Idea Of Mastery?
Mastery is an interesting concept. What does it mean to you? Does it mean that you attain some goals that you set for yourself at the beginning of the week? Beginning of the year? When? For me it isn’t about reaching goals – because goals change regularly – but about setting them, and about the journey that takes me towards my eternally moving target.
How do I apply my interpretation of mastery to my LifePath home business? Simple: by being honest with myself and with a lot of self reflection.
Self reflection means that I can look at myself with an objective eye and say honestly: what is going right? More importantly I can ask myself what is going wrong? Answers to both of these questions can help you to form new goals, to adapt, and to move forward.
Adapting, listening to people, and reassessing yourself are NOT EASY. It takes practice. One of the most difficult things I found when I started on this process of self reflection was just being HONEST with myself.
I was a part of the Liberty League International home business opportunity in those days. I loved the organization when I started, and I moved up the ladder towards success quickly and diligently. Then, in the last year or so, I started drifting. I didn’t realize that the malaise had effected me so aggressively. I didn’t realize until it was too late, really. When I look back I wonder if there was anything I could have done about it. Nonetheless I looked at my life, my business and my future, and realized that for various reasons I couldn’t stay with Liberty League any longer. LifePath was the next step.
Through the self reflection process I was able to reassess my goals and to adjust my trajectory to get me closer to my goals. Self reflection is important. Use it to your advantage.
